Here are answers to common questions about our home safety assessments, aging-in-place services, and purposeful decluttering solutions.

1. What services does Aging in Place NC provide in Leland, Wilmington, and surrounding areas?

Aging in Place NC provides home safety assessments, aging in place solutions, and purposeful decluttering services. We help seniors, families, and busy homeowners create safer, more functional living environments. We proudly serve Leland, Wilmington, Southport, and surrounding Brunswick and New Hanover County communities.

2. How much do your services cost?

Purposeful decluttering and organizing sessions are offered in 4-hour or 6-hour blocks at a rate of $85 per hour. Home safety assessments are a flat rate of $250. Each project is customized based on your space, goals, and pace. A consultation is included so we can create a plan that fits your needs.

3. How does your purposeful decluttering process work?

We begin with a consultation to understand your goals. During your session, we guide you through a simple sorting process to decide what to keep, donate, or discard. From there, we create functional systems that support your daily life and make your home easier to maintain.

4. Do I need to declutter before hiring you?

No. You do not need to declutter before we begin. Most clients feel overwhelmed or unsure where to start, and that is exactly why they reach out. We guide you step by step in a supportive, judgment-free way.

5. How long does a typical session take?

Most clients begin with a 4-hour or 6-hour session. The total time depends on the size of the space, the level of clutter, and how quickly decisions are made. Some spaces can be completed in one session, while others may take multiple visits.

6. What is included in a Home Safety Assessment?

As a Certified Senior Home Safety Specialist, Natasha completes a detailed assessment of your home, identifying fall risks and safety concerns in areas such as lighting, bathrooms, flooring, hallways, and entryways. You will receive clear, personalized recommendations to help create a safer, more supportive home environment.

7. Do you offer home modifications or handyman services?

We do not directly provide handyman or modification services. However, we can provide a list of trusted local vendors or coordinate services on your behalf for an additional fee if you prefer support managing the process.

8. Do you remove donation or discard items?

Yes, donation drop-off is included with sessions. While we do not handle trash removal, we can recommend trusted junk removal or dumpster services if needed.

9. How do I get started and how soon can I schedule?

Getting started is simple. You can call or text (910) 622-7998, fill out the contact form on our website, or email NCAgingInPlace@gmail.com. We typically respond within 24 hours, and most clients can be scheduled within 1 to 2 weeks.
